New license model
BALL 1.1 will be the first release of BALL under the Lesser GNU Public License (LGPL).
We are pleased to announce that the upcoming version 1.1 of BALL will be distributed under a new
license model: LGPL and GPL.
The Library itself is now under the Lesser GNU Public License (LGPL), meaning that
you can build your applications on the BALL library without having to distribute your
source code along with it. BALLView, our viewer, will be distributed under the GNU Public License (GPL)
from now on.
Commercial licenses will no longer be available.
