Strange menu entries in BALLView

Sometimes BALLView has colored fields in the menu accelerators and/or multiple "and" signs. How can I get rid of this?

This is a QT problem, which seems to be associated with the "Checker" style. Just try to set an other Style in BALLView. If the problem should persist, let us know...
