BALLView is too slow
Question:
Why is BALLView so slow? I have a decent graphic card and the NVIDIA driver is installed.
Answer:
Make sure, that the NVIDIA driver also enabled the AGP support: Have a look at /proc/driver/nvidia/agp/status . It should say "Enabled" If this is not the case, be sure, that /etc/X11/XF86Config (or /etc/X11/XF86Config-4) contains a line like Option "NvAGP" "3" To get more informations about the AGP support, read the README file from the NVIDIA driver: /usr/share/doc/NVIDIA_GLX-1.0/README
